Smith & Canova handbag shoot

For those that haven't seen the new images from the Smith & Canova shoot on the website, here's a few to show what we got up to over the weekend. We used both City and rural locations to create different feels, the City always makes a great backdrop fro tones and textures, while the very relaxed lakeside location speaks for itself. Smith & Canova can be seen at www.smithandcanova.co.uk a great range of handbags, luggage and accessories, to see more images from the shoot log on to www.photographyone.co.uk

Lingerie shoot with Russian model Marina

For this shoot we used my apartment in the City centre, its south facing position makes it ideal for back-lit situations, and armed with 1 California Sunbounce using the soft white side, the results are beautifull, soft and natural.

Marina can be found on Model Mahem, a great model, hair and make up by Charlie, thanks very much to everyone involved on the shoot. Great job everyone.

Watch out for my new website, live, but currently under construction.

Rigby & Peller London

Some of you may have seen this on the news or in the papers, Rigby & Peller of Mayfair have launched their new collection, of which some were missing !!!!!, it would appear that Lady GaGa loves the lingerie and had worn some of the collection on a current video, however it never found its way home to London and remains missing to this day.

I can't say i'm suprised, the collection is very nice, i'm sure every girl on the planet would love some of the range.

The images show some of the collection which was on the catwalk that day at Sketch club, both myself and Natasha who was assisting and 2nd shooter on the day, we snapped away while the models showed off the collection to clients sat either side of the runway.

The set up for the day was simple, no flash and high ISO, so not to blast light into the models faces while they carried themselves up and down the runway, there were lots of changes and fitting it into a show that only lasred around 7-8 minutes is a real feat.

American vintage shoot part 2 monochrome

Part 2 of the American vintage shoot, which i decided to convert to monochrome to creat a slightly different feel and the bottom 2 images are part of a a range with movement in a different location with space to be able to pan around while the model was in flow, beautifully simple but very effective, no lights were used on these shots just 1 California Sunbounce silver/white to fill in shadows, the top 2 images included 2 flash heads and the Sun, deep silver octa with diffusers removed and open reflector on the kick light camera left.

2 more blogs on route, thanks for looking.

American vintage shoot part1

All American vintage clothing now available in Leeds, just one of the new shops now open in the Corn Exchange in Leeds City centre.
Totally unique, with regular shipments from New York for both men and women, we shot 3 dresses on location in a dense wood between Leeds and Harrogate, all modeled by Gemma who can be found on Model Mayhem.
The sun was still fairly strong late afternoon and managed to take advantage of some beautiful dappled light coming through the trees and turning the leaves paler which provided a great backdrop colour to match the dress, carefully metered, we used the Sun, a fill light and a kick light to help the model jump out of the image, all shots were taken on a Phase one 645 body and Phase one medium format digital back, the quality of the original files for detail is mind blowing..........
Big thanks to Jay for assisting on the shoot, he was suffering all day with the flu, get well soon mate.
